Rosie Perez
Rosie Perez was born Rosa Maria Perez September 6, 1964. She is an American actress. Her first role in the role of Tina in Do the Right Thing (1989) was followed by White Men Can't jump (1992). Perez's performance in Fearless (1993), won her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. It Could Happen to You (1994), The Road to El Dorado ((2000), Pineapple Express (2008) and Birds of Prey (2010) are her starring part in films.
Perez received three Primetime Emmy Award nominations (in 1990-1994) and another Emmy Award nomination for her role in The Flight Attendant (2020-2024). She has been involved in Broadway productions like The Ritz, Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune. In the 18th year of her show she also served as the co-host of ABC's talk show The View.
Early life
Perez was born September 6 1964, in Brooklyn to Lydia Perez (a merchant mariner seaman) and Ismael Serano (a Bushwick neighborhood resident). [3][4][55 Lydia Fontanez and her husband, Reyes, was her mother. Her birth date was October 13th, 1939 in Humacao. Her father came from Aguadilla (Puerto Rico). Arturo Perez, her mother's husband, was 20 years older than Rosie. Following an affair with Serrano's father Perez's mother been blessed with five kids. Perez was born at the closed Greenpoint Hospital located in Brooklyn's Greenpoint neighborhood.
Perez is one tenth of her ten children. Rosie and her siblings were raised in Bushwick during the time their mother was imprisoned. Her mother was in jail when she gave birth to her first child. For a time she was taken care of by an aunt. Then, she was in foster homes and group homes. The siblings of her were often divided. She was put in an institution for foster children, and she lived in foster care New York until she reached the age of eight. The state of New York considered her a ward by the State of New York from age 12 to age 12. Her mother and aunt often visited her, as did her father unsuccessfully attempted to get custody at one point.
